This year we will immerse ourselves in the study of God's Creation in Chemistry and Physics! We will learn about the sciences that God created to make everything and how things work! Through lots of fun experiments, building projects, and interactive demonstrations we will learn more about matter, chemistry, motion, energy, light, and machines. We will be using Apologia's Exploring Creation with Chemistry and Physics. Can't wait for you to join us!
Zoology Flying Animals

This year we will learn about God’s Creation in Zoology! We will learn specifically about birds, bats, and insects from Apologia’s Exploring Creation in Zoology 1: Flying Creatures of the Fifth Day. During this year, we will study these creatures by learning about their homes, physical characteristics, and domestic practices. By conducting experiments and classifying different types of insects, your child will be able to notice details about their surroundings and learn more about the beautiful world God created! History & Latin

World History: Middle Ages: From the Rise of Rome to the Rise of the Renaissance, Volume 2 by Susan Wise Bauer. Each week we will tackle one chapter from the book and complete a variety of activities such as: creating a timeline, creating maps, and simulations of events such as Early Exploration and the Feudal system. Students will practice narration both verbally and written. Students will be required to have read or been read to, the assigned chapters prior to each class and complete one written retelling from each chapter assigned per week.
Latin: Roots of English by Paul O’Brian & Latina Christiana 1 by Cheryl Lowe. Each week students will be exposed to the basic building blocks of the Latin language (nouns, verbs, adjectives, declensions, conjugations), learn practical vocabulary from a variety of common Latin root words, and complete themed units of study to apply their Latin vocabulary in context. Students will be required to complete short daily language practice prior to each week’s class.
